In the week that saw them lose their coach just five months into a new contract, Oldham have announced that they are disbanding their ‘A’ team. They have described the running of a second string side “...a wasted exercise”. In a competition that started with six clubs, this leaves just Hornets and Batley with reserve grade sides.
