Remember the days when Rochdale Hornets were front page news? There have been plenty but lets have a quick look at the front page of the Rugby League Gazette from February 1956. Featuring none other than Hornets number "1" Ted Cahill.
This is what the gazette had to say about Ted. "Ted Cahill is one of the most difficult full-backs in the Rugby League to beat. Ted seems to have a way with him that seems to draw a run-away player right into his arms, his anticipation is unique."
Has there been a better full-back at Hornets? I think not.
