1. Karaoke & Quiz night. Andy and myself will speak to a couple of karaoke guys and get an indication of cost. We envisage a couple of quid entry fee, teams of four for the quiz at a quid a person and people coughing up a quid a time to do their best Tom Jones impression. If every Nest Egg member brings their partner or a mate - even their kids!, we could have close to a hundred people there and if we aim to get close to £5 from each person it'd be a great earner.

2. Fans v Hornets match. We will sell ten team places at £25 each and take on a Hornets side in a ten-a-side touch rugby game, ten minutes each way. If each team member gets £50 of sponsorship, we could go close to £800 on this one. There was interest in this last night, so if you fancy one last chance to show off your skills, please let me know.

3. The auctioning of two places on the team coach to Hull KR. This is in planning at the moment.

4. Nest Egg Merchandise. With the club shop struggling to maintain stock at the moment, it was suggested that the Nest Egg produce a range of Hornets merchandise such as t-shirts, polo-shirts and baseball caps. I'll investigate prices and minimum quantities, because we don't want to be left with lots of unsold stuff - though I would imagine that we could shift, say 100 Hornets baseball caps (one to each member and then 50 others) at 10 or 12 pounds a time.

5. Race Night. Dave has hosted successful race nights with a difference for his cricket club. Apparently, it involves a big board game and a dice! He's got one coming up in the Summer, so we'll go and have a look at how it works (and probably lose a lot of money in the process!).

6. A BIG summer draw. Similar to Hornets Grand National Draw. Andy will contact the council regards the purchase of a promotions licence. Ideas of how to get hold of half a dozen prizes such as a microwave and a CD player please!

7. Car Boot Sale. It was suggested that we host a Car Boot Sale on the stadium car park on a Sunday morning. 100 cars at £5 a car - do the maths! Ray is picking his lad's brains - he;s done this sort of thing before. Be aware - it'll be an early start with a view to finishing by 11-ish.

8. Sponsoring matchday music. You donate £10 to the Nest Egg and you can have your choice of music played before the game and at half time. I'll check with Paul how he needs the music (cassette or CD).

So there you are - all great ideas. Obviously, volunteers for helping organise these are needed, so please let me know.

Other news - the Nest Egg's evolution into a full supporters' trust was discussed last night. Conversion into a trust would give the Nest Egg a legal status that would allow us to effectively try and own part of the club and have a say at board level. Conversion to a trust is quite a lengthy and costly process, so it was suggested that we always keep 10% of funds ringfenced to meet any future conversion costs.

The matter wasn't voted on, but was put on the record.
