The final furlong
Brace yourself for the run-in
With four games to go it's all a bit tight at the top. Leigh are clinging to Salford's heels and Hornets are right in there waiting for one of them to cock-up!
And you couldn't have scripted it to end so tightly - with Hornets, Leigh and Salford all playing each other in the run-in.
In a perfect world we'd win all four, Salford at Leigh would end in a low scoring draw with lots of injuries and we'd be champions. But you can work out how it'll go by comparing the run-ins.
HORNETS:Batley(h); Salford(a); Featherstone(h): Leigh(a)
LEIGH:Doncaster(a); Dewsbury(h); Salford(a); Hornets(h)
SALFORD:Dewsbury(a); Hornets(h); Leigh(h); Hull KR(a)
Given those, Salford look to have the toughest run-in ending with Hornets, Leigh and a nice trip to Dull KR to bore their season to an end.
But while we're conjugating the top three spots, spare a thought for Dewsbury. Currently hovering over the relegation trapdoor, their run-in looks cruel even from this distance.
They've got: Salford (h); Leigh(a); Hull KR(h) and Whitehaven(a).
That'll be the last we see of them, then.
However it pans out, it's going to be a top class end to the season with everything to play for. And, for once, our destiny's in our hands.
Bring 'em on!
