Nest Egg answers the call for a supporters' meeting
Given growing concern over recent events, Hornets Nest Egg - the Rochdale Hornets independent supporters’ association - has called a supporters’ meeting for Tuesday the 9th December.
The meeting is open to ALL supporters and is intended to provide a forum through which fans can make their views known, air their concerns, discuss possible ways of taking the club forward and formally present questions to the board at the forthcoming EGM of club shareholders.
A Nest Egg Spokesman says, “These are difficult days for our club - and the supporters’ combined mood of depression and panic needs to be addressed. Whilst the fans - and the supporters’ association - may not have all the answers to our situation, it’s hoped that by bringing Hornets supporters together in this way that we may at least be in a position to ask the right questions."
If there are ANY Hornets supporters - or 'exiled’ Hornets - out there, we'd urge them to get in touch with the Hornets Nest Egg and get involved. Our club has a proud 132 year history - but if we genuinely WANT a Rochdale Hornets in the future, we need every pair of hands, every good idea - and every penny - we can get.
We are repeatedly told that there is a large number of people in the town who've turned their backs on the club because of certain personalities on the board. All we can say to them is - if you truly are a Rochdale Hornets supporter - please bury your prejudice for the good of the club and show your support by getting involved in the supporters' association. Rochdale Hornets has never needed you more.
The meeting will be held in the Main Stand bar at Spotland and will start at 7.30.
