Sad news
Former Hornets' scrum-half Ted Hill has died. The 96-year-old, who played in the 1930s and 1940s, was believed to be the club’s oldest surviving ex-player.
He maintained an interest in rugby league throughout, attending dinners hosted by the Rochdale Hornets Ex-Players’ Association. The funeral was held at Rochdale Crematorium last Friday morning.
