Hunslet Preview
Hawks’ boss Graeme Hallas is likely to be without fullback Luke Rayner (knee) as Hunslet look to back up a stunning win at Workington last week.
Rochdale have found some form since Darren Shaw’s appointment as head coach but they still have only two more Co-operative National League wins than Hunslet in 2008.
Shaw said: “Hunslet is always a difficult trip but it’s even more so this week after their good result at Workington.
“We know that win will boost their confidence because we know what it’s like to get a win when you’ve been searching for one for a while.”
Kyle Neal should be available for Hornets while Dave Best has an outside chance of shrugging off a shoulder problem.
Craig Robinson and Carl Sneyd are also pushing for inclusion in Shaw’s squad, who admitted he needed to do his homework on the Hawks.
Shaw added: “They’re very new to me but I’m familiar with some of their squad. I’m going to have a look at them on DVD and assess how we need to approach them, but they’ve got one or two names that I know we’ll have to keep on top of straightaway.”
