Keighley preview 04/07/2008 Fixture Man
HORNETS v KEIGHLEY COUGARS
Darren Shaw wants his Rochdale squad to learn to respect possession as they search for a victory against Keighley that could push them back into the play-off positions.

Hornets lost 27-18 at Hunslet last weekend and Shaw is hoping for a big improvement.

He said: “It’s our inability to control that ball that’s done us. We had no possession whatsoever, so we didn’t give ourselves an opportunity to win the game.

“Keighley are flying pretty high at the moment and they’ve had a good result last week.

“But we have to get back on the winning track and pull away from those behind us as well as put pressure on those above us.”

Tom Wild (broken nose) and Dave Best (shoulder) are not expected to play but Shaw is hopeful that Wayne Corcoran and Craig Robinson will both be fit enough to return to action.

Barry Eaton could welcome Neil Lowe back into the Keighley side.

Eaton, who watched his team claim their first win in more than a month last week, said: “Rochdale have had two away games but they haven’t lost them heavily.
“They’re going to be back at home this weekend so we’re expecting a potential backlash from them.

“Darren Shaw’s in charge and he’s been there about a month so he’ll just be starting to implement his own ideas. It’ll be a tough test.” The other games.
