Bowls Competition – Church Inn, Spotland - Bank Holiday Monday 25 August. At the Church Inn, Willbutts Lane this hopefully kick-starts an Indian summer!

The competition is open to Bowlers and Non Bowlers – entry is £2.50 per person.
Bowling commences at 12.00 midday and registration from 11.30am.

There will be a BBQ and entertainment by the Whitworth Vale and Healey Brass Band.

Race Night – 4 September 2008

Race Night – saddle up and ride ‘em home when Hornets hosts a race night with a difference! We’ll be bringing all the fun of the live gee gees - there’ll be gorgeous girls in silks, a bookies tote and an evening of fun and entertainment.

It all happens at the Ratcliffe Arms, it costs £10 in advance and £15 on the night with discounts for betting tickets bought before the event.
