York Preview
Hornets coach Darren Shaw is preparing for a more open affair than his side’s recent clash with the Knights.Shaw said: “We had a bit of a blip against York but I’m sure that it will be a different game on Friday.
“Our last meeting was very stop-start but I’m expecting a very different game. Hopefully it will be more free-flowing and that should suit us.”
Ian Sinfield faces a fitness test on Thursday to assess a knee problem.
Knights boss Paul March is unavailable for Friday’s clash after being given a three-match suspension on Tuesday night.
David March also received the same punishment while Andy Bailey collected a one-match ban.
But Paul March insists his side have enough quality to be able to cope with their triple blow.
He said: “Being at home is a bit of an advantage, but we played them last week and we know it’s going to be a lot tougher game than that was.
“I believe we’ve the experience and ability to get us through this weekend and all the way to the final.
“It took us time to gel together as a team but we’ve done that over the last three months and I think we’ve only lost three or four games in that time. We’re in good form.”
